Alastair Coomes and family

My name is Alastair Coomes and I live in Esher, Surrey with my two teenage sons and lovely wife.

I have been assessing students for dyslexia, dyscalculia and other associated specific learning differences since 2003. I have over 20 years of experience in education and am a passionate advocate of neurodiversity, life long learning and the growth mind set.

I am an associate member of the British Dyslexia Association (AMBDA) and a member of the Professional Association of Teachers of Students with Specific Learning Difficulties (PATOSS). I also have a masters in Psychology and am currently studying this at doctoral level.

My goal is to provide excellent assessments that highlight a student’s strengths and difficulties. I see assessment as an opportunity to understand how you think and what works. It is a collaboration in how to meet the challenges dyslexia gives.

If you would like to know more about assessment, or how I can support you once a diagnosis is in place, please use the Contact page to get in touch.
